How to build a homemade nesting box?

I have two Parakeets that I think have been mating. I live in a country where there isn’t that much of pet supplies, at least when it comes to birds, and it will be a while until my mother comes to visit from the US. It won’t be until May that the birds have a real nesting box but is there a way I can build a homemade nesting box that will hold until my mom brings a real nesting box? At least one that will fit inside the cage, since they are still untrained and have yet to get used to their new surroundings. We just got them the other day. Thanks.

The Chicken You Eat? / Video

Courtesy of www.kentuckyfriedcruelty.com KFC suppliers cram birds into huge waste-filled factories, breed and drug them to grow so large that they cant even walk, and often break their wings and legs. At slaughter, the birds throats are slit and they are dropped into tanks of scalding-hot water—often while they are still conscious. It would be illegal for KFC to abuse dogs, cats, pigs, or cows in these ways. kfcs own animal welfare advisors have asked the company to take steps to eliminate these abuses, but KFC refuses to do so. Many advisors have now resigned in frustration. Please join Pamela Anderson, Sir Paul mccartney, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, The Rev. Al Sharpton, and countless other kind people worldwide by not eating at KFC.

What wild predators in England will kill my chickens?

I live in a suburban neighborhood. Baby chicks have been getting picked off a few at a time, at night. Decapitated, usually. What animal might be doing this?
Not sure about foxes – will they just take the head and leave the body, or does decapitating sound like their style? Locking the birds in their coops from now on!
