Great chicken coop! How many chickens do you have and how many eggs do they produce for you on an average month?

Those were probably fine without refridgeration b/c it was cool out. Eggs used to not be kept in fridges you know…room temperature is perfectly fine. In summer when it’s hot we just make sure to bring them in within a few hours.
How long would those eggs be good? Without refrigeration I mean.

nice chicken coop , its awsome , i do only write polite comments , i know how it is lol , but yes , nice horses im out on farm too lol. i always giggle when i see chickens or coops i really dunno y but it seems there might be humor in chickens i guess , nice coop , and nice snow lol!. i know how that snow is im from northern Massachusetts which i understand how it is in this video. ya seem nice lol. nice chickens ya rule hah. the Powerpuff gurl chiken looks like the king ,thats awsome

Chickens have such great personalities don’t they? I have named all of my girls too. And your right, there are some that remind me of boys, even though I know they are girls!

It looks like your chickens love it, your doing a great job, and yer i agree if you go in there coop the wont shut up, I have had 3 light sussex girls fr a couple of months and they have only just stopped attacking me….
We don’t want to deal with the noise of the rooster…plus, we only want babies every 2 1/2 years….and we don’t want our girls to have a rooster sitting on them all the time…
Hi, I dont *think Ive commented on this before… Ive watched it a few times though. lol Very nice coop, you’ve got some great frame work on the doors, specially the nest box doors. So why not just get a rooster and hatch your own babies?

For the, umm…jerk who called me a rude name for having my chickens out in the cold..would like to point out.
1) The chicken choose to go out. If it’s so “cold” then I’m pretty sure they’d be in on the roost together.
2) Chicken’s aren’t wimps. Just because it’s cold does not mean it will die. So far (last 3 years) our chickens have survived. I’ll let you know if they don’t.
3) They have a heat lamp.

Some people choose not to name them if you plan on slaughtering them. It makes it easire to let them go….we name them anyway. The way we see it, we’d rather enjoy our birds for the 2 years that we have them WITH names than not enjoy them as much without names just because we plan on letting them go…hope that makes sense.

cool my chickens are 2x red rhode island.2x light sussex.and also 1 ranger.that we found injured.
rhed rhode islands(coco)and(speedy like urs)
and my sisters sussex(spotty)(sparkle)
and ranger(sandy).they all lay 1 aday and they are so tame! they come sit on u and stuff =]
Ummm, there is no cost per month to have a coop…and to make your own, it depends on the size of the coop…I’d guess that our “tractor” coop was around a couple hundred dollars…it’s lasted 2 years now…
And during the summer, we can expect 1 egg a day from each bird….during the winter, about half that much.
What does it cost per month to have the coop? Also how many eggs will one chicken produce at what rate?
cool coop im getting 6 in a week or two time but just need to clean the back of the yard so we can put them in
